Fazer perguntas e formar negativas no past simple com did e didn't para investigar incidentes, confirmar tarefas e explicar ações que não aconteceram.
Explicação
Em perguntas no past simple, use `did + sujeito + verbo na forma base`: `Did you test the fix?`, `Did the alert start yesterday?` O auxiliar `did` carrega a informação de passado, por isso o verbo principal não fica no passado.
Em negativas, use `didn't + verbo na forma base`: `I didn't deploy the change`, `The backup didn't finish`. A forma completa `did not` é comum em textos mais formais ou quando se quer enfatizar a negação.
Respostas curtas repetem o auxiliar: `Yes, I did.` / `No, I didn't.` Para perguntas com palavra interrogativa, coloque a palavra antes de `did`: `When did the error start?`, `Why did the job fail?`, `Where did you find the file?`
Mesmo com verbos irregulares, use a forma base depois de `did`: `Did you run the tests?`, não `Did you ran the tests?`; `She didn't write the report`, não `She didn't wrote the report`.
