The problem
While the team was dealing with a bug that changed the team’s process, Taylor had been working on the Harbor release for several weeks when a customer test exposed a difficult point. The team had already reviewed the expressions “status update” and “have”, but the new evidence suggested that the problem was not as simple as it first appeared.
Instead of guessing, Taylor asked what the team knew, what it still needed to check, and how the term “experience” might affect the next step. Morgan offered a different view, so Taylor paraphrased it before explaining the risk connected to the term “need to”.
The team chose a limited test rather than a complete change. Taylor said that this would not remove every uncertainty, but it would give them a clearer basis for action. The group wrote “stuck with” in the update so nobody would mistake a plan for a promise.
