Objetivo

Fazer convites educados com Would you like to..., Let's... e Shall we...; aceitar e recusar combinações de pair session ou call de forma polida; e propor um novo horário para reagendar.

Explicação

Em conversas de trabalho, três estruturas são muito comuns para propor algo de forma educada:

• Would you like to + verbo oferece ou convida a outra pessoa, sem incluir o falante: `Would you like to join the pair session?`, `Would you like to start at 3pm?`
• Let's + verbo sugere uma ação que inclui você e a outra pessoa: `Let's start at 3pm.`, `Let's move the call to Tuesday.`
• Shall we + verbo pede acordo sobre algo que vocês fariam juntos: `Shall we reschedule?`, `Shall I send the invite?`

Para aceitar, respostas curtas e amigáveis bastam: `Sure, that works.`, `Sounds good.`, `Yes, I'd love to.`, `That works for me.`

Para recusar, seja direto e ofereça uma alternativa: `I'm afraid I can't.`, `Sorry, I'm not free then.`, `I have another meeting at that time. Can we reschedule?`

Para propor outro horário, use `How about + dia/horário?` ou `What about + dia/horário?`: `How about Tuesday at 3pm?`, `What about Wednesday morning?` Você também pode confirmar disponibilidade: `Does Friday work for you?`

Combine as peças em uma conversa curta: convite → resposta → (se preciso) novo horário → confirmação. Esse padrão resolve a maior parte das combinações de pair session ou call.

Exemplos

Erros comuns

• Misturar let's com he/she/it: `Let's starts at 3pm` deve ser `Let's start at 3pm` (verbo sempre na forma base).
• Confundir let's e lets: `lets` (sem apóstrofo) é verbo e exige sujeito, como em `She lets me leave early`.
• Dizer `Do you like to join?` em vez de `Would you like to join?` em um convite formal de trabalho.
• Recusar sem oferecer alternativa: `I can't.` soa abrupto; prefira `I'm afraid I can't. How about…?`
• Usar shall com I/he/she: prefira `Shall I send the invite?` (com I) e reserve shall we/let's para decisões em conjunto.

A quick reschedule

On Wednesday at 1:45pm, Priya opened the calendar and noticed a problem. She had a customer call at the same time as the pair session. She messaged Marcus: "I'm afraid I can't make it at 2pm. I'm in a customer call." Marcus answered, "No problem. How about Thursday at 11am?" Priya checked her calendar and said, "Yes, that works for me." "Great. Shall we focus on the failing test first?" Marcus asked. Priya agreed, and they rescheduled the pair session to Thursday at 11am.
