História: Storytelling de vida e escolhas

Nível: C2

Antes da escolha

By the time Daniel was invited to lead the reading circle, he had already declined two public roles. He was caring for his grandmother, while the old neighborhood hall was losing its regular visitors. The invitation sounded ordinary, but he kept the letter beside his cup for three days.

O revés

The first meeting failed to attract young people, and Daniel felt that he had chosen the wrong format. At the time, he blamed the room; later, he noticed that he had never asked newcomers what they wanted to read. A quiet teenager returned the following week with a list of poems, which changed the rhythm of the group.

O que ficou

Looking back, Daniel saw the setback as a turning point rather than a verdict. What mattered was not the size of the first audience but the trust that grew when people could shape the evenings. He still tells the story without claiming that the better choice had been obvious from the start.
