Riverside Weekend Notes 55: A Connected Story

Nesta leitura A2, Julia participa de uma exposicao local em Santos, resolve um problema simples, conta o que aconteceu e combina um próximo passo. A narrativa recicla passado, sequência, pedidos e planos dos cinco temas mais recentes.

The trip

Last Saturday, Julia went to the community garden in Santos for a local exhibition. Before leaving, she checked “plan” and “decision” in her notes, then remembered “intention”. The trip was easy, and she arrived before the activity began.

During the event, Julia noticed a small problem. She needed “appointment”, but the first person gave her “advice” instead. She asked a simple question, listened to the answer, and chose a better option.

The result

After that, Julia talked with Nora. They used “an obligation” to describe what had happened and “intention” to talk about the next step. The delay was short, so everyone stayed calm.

At home, Julia told her family the beginning, middle, and ending of the story. She said that “promise” and “to rest” were useful, and that “meet” and “a rule” would help next time. She felt tired, but she was happy with the result.
