História: Projeto B2: monólogo argumentativo

Nível: B2

The problem

Architect Renata opened a short design review about unpredictable peak traffic. My position is that a queue should separate public requests from background jobs. First of all, the change would reduce load on the public API.

Trade-off and risk

The high-level design added a broker as an integration point. Admittedly, the team would need to operate one more component. That said, retries would become safer when a worker failed.

An open question

A reviewer asked how long users would tolerate delayed background results. Renata replied, That is a fair question. She said she did not have enough information to say yet.

The next step

To sum up, the team would run a small load test before the next review. The test would measure API load, queue delay, and retry behavior. The design could then change in response to evidence.
