They discussed the options with families, older residents, and the local school.

An adjusted recommendation

The group recommended two trees and movable benches as a feasible first step. An unexpected delay meant that the trees could not be planted before the summer festival. They adjusted the plan and borrowed umbrellas for the event. One caveat was that the final budget still needed approval. Their next step was to present the research and ask the council for permission. The project gave the neighbourhood a practical way to act on a shared idea.
