At the first meeting
Carla is at the bus station in the morning. She says hello to Marta and says, “My name is Carla.” She also repeats “usually” when Marta asks a friendly question. She is from Brazil, and she lives in Curitiba.
A clear message
At a small table, she practices “work” and “always” with a notebook. She asks about “there is” and checks “there are”, while Marta gives a clear example with “in” and “on”.
Before going home
Before she leaves, Marta writes a short message with “big”, “study”, and “small”. The sound is not clear, so Carla asks, “Can you repeat that, please?” Then they smile, say goodbye, and go home.
