A neighbourhood reading circle

Camila wanted to create a reading circle for adults who had stopped studying. Before choosing books, she asked who could attend and what would make the meetings useful. The beneficiaries wanted regular conversation rather than long homework. Camila defined the scope as one evening meeting each month and two follow-ups. The main criterion would be regular participation, not the number of pages read.

A feasible first step

The main risk was losing volunteers if the plan became too demanding. Camila kept a smaller alternative: a short conversation in the library once a month. The first milestone was to test the idea with ten participants. The opportunity cost was less time for another community activity. The plan felt feasible because its question, scope and trade-offs were visible.
